Brief:
Create a shoe collection inspired by yourself in the future. Make a prototype of one of the shoes.
Response:
I wanted to work with classical men's shoes and the atmosphere from the black and white movies of Fellini and Godard. Furthermore I investigated the anatomy of my own feet to better understand how to construct and deconstruct around the foot.
Output:
The final collection consists of 6 shoes, all based on the same last and sole. I added an extra toe to the shape of the last, and by this the whole shoe and the look of the feet get twisted. This twist is emphasized throughout the design of the shoes, that are all based on classical styles.
